In NHS South West leadership development has been founded upon the following principles;
- leadership development should, wherever possible, take place within the work context;
- coaching and mentoring, action learning and 360-degree feedback should be a feature of all leadership development;
- leadership development should foster a reflective approach to learning.
This tool provides a means of accessing the support and human resources necessary to make the most of work based and experiential learning.
Coaching, Mentoring and Action Learning provide different approaches to facilitation of learning.
